HCLTech Odisha AI Data Center: ₹14,257 Cr Sovereign AI Park Hub
Status: Announced / Under Development (MoU Signed July 2026) | Location: Odisha Sovereign AI Park, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India
Project Overview
The HCLTech AI Data Center at the Odisha Sovereign AI Park is a landmark ₹14,257 crore ($1.48 billion USD) flagship artificial intelligence computing facility being developed in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Designed to establish India’s next-generation sovereign AI infrastructure ecosystem, the facility is being developed through a strategic tripartite partnership between global technology company HCLTech, Indian AI startup Sarvam, and the Government of Odisha. The campus is planned as a premier shared AI computing platform, providing secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure for enterprises, government organizations, and research institutions. The facility will combine HCLTech’s full-stack AI infrastructure expertise with Sarvam’s advanced foundation models to enable sector-specific artificial intelligence applications, multilingual AI services, and large-scale GPU-based training and inference workloads. Built with a focus on national data sovereignty, the AI data center will support secure processing of sensitive workloads while reducing dependence on overseas computing infrastructure. The project is expected to strengthen India’s AI capabilities by providing access to advanced compute resources, accelerating innovation across industries, and supporting the development of indigenous AI solutions. With its focus on sovereign AI, high-density computing, and digital transformation, the Odisha Sovereign AI Park represents a significant step toward building India’s self-reliant AI infrastructure landscape.
