Project Overview

HyperDatagrid Lufkin Data Center is a 20 MW critical IT load purpose-built AI data center development located on Ben Dunn Road at the site of the former Northern Chip Mill in Lufkin, Texas. Designed specifically for high-density artificial intelligence training and inference workloads, the modular facility is structured to support demanding computing environments with extreme power densities of up to 600 kW per rack. This high-density configuration enables the campus to accommodate advanced AI infrastructure, including accelerated computing platforms that require substantially greater electrical and thermal capacity than conventional enterprise workloads. The cooling architecture combines direct-to-chip technology with closed-loop liquid cooling systems, providing a thermal management framework suited to high-density AI deployments while supporting efficient heat removal from densely packed computing equipment. The site also benefits from secured municipal water and power interconnection agreements, providing key utility infrastructure for the planned development. N+1 power redundancy is incorporated to strengthen electrical resilience and support continuous operation of mission-critical workloads. The campus also provides 100% renewable energy off-take capability, giving potential users an option to align power procurement with sustainability objectives and renewable energy requirements. Connectivity infrastructure includes dual Meet-Me-Rooms and low-latency dark fiber access, creating multiple interconnection pathways to carriers, network providers, cloud platforms, and major digital infrastructure corridors across Texas. Its location in Lufkin places the development between the major Houston and Dallas markets and near the Louisiana border, providing access to regional business, energy, telecommunications, and logistics networks. The combination of dedicated AI infrastructure, very high rack power density, liquid cooling, resilient power systems, renewable energy sourcing capability, and low-latency fiber connectivity positions HyperDatagrid Lufkin Data Center as a specialized development for the increasing infrastructure requirements of AI and other compute-intensive workloads.
