iM Critical Miami Data Center 10MW High Density Colocation

Status: Operational   |   Location: 100 NE 80th Terrace, Miami, FL 33138, USA

Project Overview

The iM Critical Miami Data Center, located at 100 NE 80th Terrace in Miami, Florida, is a high-density, sustainable edge colocation facility designed to support demanding enterprise, high-performance computing, and artificial intelligence workloads. The facility occupies approximately 100,000 square feet within a heavy-concrete building engineered for enhanced physical resilience against South Florida’s severe weather conditions, including Category 5 hurricane-force winds of up to 175 mph. This hardened construction provides an additional layer of protection for critical IT infrastructure and helps customers maintain operational continuity during extreme weather events. The facility provides approximately 10 MW of utility power, creating a substantial platform for high-density computing deployments and next-generation digital infrastructure. Customers can select from flexible density configurations ranging from conventional cabinets to high-density deployments reaching up to 50 kW per rack, making the site suitable for traditional enterprise servers as well as GPU-intensive artificial intelligence and high-performance computing environments. Its electrical infrastructure is designed around dual independent utility substations, providing separate power sources and reducing dependence on a single utility pathway. N+1 closed-loop UPS systems provide additional protection against power interruptions and electrical disturbances, while onsite diesel generators supply emergency power during extended utility outages. Guaranteed emergency fuel contracts further support generator readiness and help maintain backup generation capabilities during prolonged regional disruptions or severe weather events. Cooling infrastructure is another important component of the facility’s design, particularly given its focus on high-density computing. The data center employs closed-loop liquid cooling alongside precision air-handling systems, enabling more efficient thermal management for high-power IT equipment while supporting lower overall energy consumption. This approach is increasingly important for AI and HPC workloads, where traditional air cooling can become less efficient as rack densities increase. As a carrier-neutral connectivity hub, the facility provides customers with access to diverse telecommunications infrastructure rather than restricting deployments to a single network provider. Redundant dark fiber connectivity links the campus with major downtown carrier hotels and network aggregation points, while access to international subsea cable landing infrastructure supports connectivity toward Latin American and other global markets. This combination of resilient construction, substantial power capacity, high-density rack options, advanced cooling, redundant electrical systems, and carrier-neutral fiber connectivity makes the iM Critical Miami facility particularly suitable for AI, HPC, cloud, enterprise, and latency-sensitive applications. Overall, the project represents a modern Miami edge infrastructure platform designed to combine high-density computing capabilities with operational resilience, efficient cooling, and extensive domestic and international network connectivity.
