Status: Active Development / Phased Delivery | Location: Slough Trading Estate, 111 Buckingham Avenue, Slough, SL1 4PF, United Kingdom
Iron Mountain Data Centers LON-3 is a 25 MW critical IT load data center facility on a 2.5-acre campus at 111 Buckingham Avenue on the Slough Trading Estate in Slough, United Kingdom. The 5,200 m², or 55,972 sq ft, three-story facility provides AI-ready, high-density infrastructure across six data halls of approximately 870 m² each, with around 4.1 MW of capacity per hall. Developed alongside LON-1 and LON-2, LON-3 expands Iron Mountain’s presence in the Slough market and is designed to support demanding CPU and GPU workloads where higher rack densities create greater power and cooling requirements. The facility incorporates N+1 and 2N UPS redundancy configurations, providing resilient power protection for critical computing equipment, while direct liquid cooling and high-density air cooling options allow customers to select thermal management approaches suited to different workload profiles. Its BREEAM green building standards provide a framework for resource-conscious facility design, complemented by 100% matched renewable power through Iron Mountain’s Green Power Pass, which supports customer sustainability objectives. Connectivity is supported through dual Meet-Me-Rooms, providing infrastructure for carrier and network interconnection, while low-latency connectivity to the London Internet Exchange, or LINX, supports efficient access to major internet and digital networks. The six-hall configuration also provides flexibility for phased deployments and workloads with different density requirements. With 25 MW of critical IT capacity, AI-ready cooling options, resilient power architecture, renewable electricity matching, and access to London’s major network ecosystem, LON-3 provides infrastructure for enterprise, cloud, high-performance computing, and GPU-intensive applications. Its location within the established Slough data center cluster further connects the facility to one of the United Kingdom’s key digital infrastructure environments.
