Project Overview

The K Square Data Centre, also known as the K-Square Data Center Gasan or Gasan IDC, is a high-density AI and cloud colocation facility developed by KORAMCO Asset Management in the Geumcheon District of Seoul, South Korea. Located at 319-19 Gasan-dong on Gwanyang-ro, the facility represents KORAMCO’s first major data center project developed through an integrated approach covering the entire value chain, from site acquisition and development to asset management. Constructed by Hyundai E&C and operated by LG Uplus, the 14-story facility consists of 11 floors above ground and three basement levels, providing approximately 41,214 square meters of gross floor area. The data center offers approximately 26 MW of critical IT load capacity and accommodates 2,446 server racks, supported by a 40 MW utility power allocation from KEPCO. Designed to support the rapidly increasing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other high-performance workloads, the facility is equipped to accommodate high-density computing environments and hyper-cloud applications. Its infrastructure includes direct liquid cooling readiness, enabling future deployment of advanced cooling technologies for GPU-intensive AI systems and other compute-dense equipment. High-efficiency precision air-conditioning systems provide reliable thermal management for conventional and high-density IT deployments, while dual-substation power feeds enhance electrical resilience and help maintain continuity during power-system disruptions or maintenance activities. The facility’s location within Seoul’s Gasan Digital Complex provides access to a large concentration of technology companies, enterprises, telecommunications networks, and digital service providers. This strategic position supports low-latency connectivity and provides convenient access to Seoul’s broader digital infrastructure ecosystem. By combining substantial IT capacity, scalable rack infrastructure, advanced cooling capabilities, and resilient power systems, the K Square Data Centre is positioned to support the growing requirements of AI, hyperscale cloud, enterprise IT, and high-performance computing workloads across the Seoul metropolitan market.
