The KT Gasan IDC, also known as the Gasan AI Data Center, is a high-density AI and hyperscale data center developed and operated by KT Cloud, a subsidiary of KT Corporation, at 23 Gasan Digital 2-ro in Seoul’s Geumcheon District, South Korea. Developed in partnership with DL Construction and supported by financing from Shinhan Investment, the facility was designed to address the rapidly growing demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance digital infrastructure in South Korea. The multi-story data center comprises 10 floors above ground and five basement levels, with approximately 36,516 square meters of gross floor area. It provides approximately 26 MW of critical IT load capacity and is supported by a 40 MW utility power intake, enabling the facility to accommodate a large-scale computing environment. KT Gasan IDC is particularly notable for its direct liquid cooling infrastructure, which enables the deployment of high-density computing systems while improving thermal management compared with conventional air-cooling approaches. The facility is designed to support GPU-intensive AI clusters, large language model training and inference, enterprise cloud workloads, and high-performance computing applications. With capacity to host more than 100,000 servers, the data center forms an important part of KT Cloud’s expanding AI infrastructure strategy. Together with KT’s Yongsan facility, Gasan provides customers with access to advanced computing infrastructure capable of supporting increasingly demanding workloads. Its location in Gasan Digital Complex also places the facility within one of Seoul’s major technology and business districts, providing access to a dense ecosystem of enterprises, telecommunications networks, and digital service providers. By combining large-scale IT capacity, direct liquid cooling, resilient utility infrastructure, and a strategic metropolitan location, KT Gasan IDC strengthens South Korea’s growing position as a regional hub for AI, cloud computing, and next-generation digital infrastructure.
