Project Overview

Kao Data KLON-06 is a 16 MW critical IT load data center facility at 672 Galvin Road on the Slough Trading Estate in Slough, United Kingdom, forming part of the West London Availability Zone. Acquired and redeveloped by Kao Data in September 2021, the facility provides more than 30,000 sq ft of technical whitespace across eight technology suites, creating dedicated capacity for high-density high-performance computing and enterprise cloud deployments. Its location within the established Slough data center cluster provides access to a mature digital infrastructure environment and supports connectivity to the wider London market. KLON-06 is engineered with N+1 block-redundant power distribution, providing resilience across critical electrical systems and supporting continuous operation for demanding workloads. Indirect evaporative cooling provides an efficient approach to heat management, while an SLA-backed PUE of 1.25 establishes a defined efficiency performance target for the facility. The combination of high-density-ready technical space and efficient cooling is particularly relevant to HPC environments, where concentrated compute loads create greater power and thermal management requirements. Carrier-neutral Meet-Me-Rooms provide an open interconnection environment for network operators and customers, while low-latency dark fiber access to major London internet exchanges strengthens the facility’s connectivity profile.
