Khazna Ajman | Next-Gen AI-Ready Data Center & Cloud Facility
Status: Live / Phase 1 Operational | Location: Ajman Industrial Area / Northern Emirates
Project Overview
Launched in mid-January 2026, the Khazna Ajman facility is the UAE’s first purpose-built AI-Optimized Data Center. This 100MW project was fast-tracked to address the exponential rise in regional demand for Large Language Model (LLM) training and high-performance computing (HPC). Spanning 100,000 square meters, the site features 20 dedicated data halls, each capable of supporting 5MW high-density clusters. The project is a strategic pillar for G42, the UAE’s leading AI firm, providing the essential infrastructure for sovereign AI initiatives like "Jais" and the recently launched "K2 Think" reasoning models.
The Ajman site is distinct because it moves beyond traditional cloud storage, focusing instead on GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) capabilities. It employs advanced liquid cooling technologies to manage the intense heat generated by AI chips in the Gulf climate. By establishing this hub in Ajman, Khazna and the UAE government are decentralizing the nation's digital infrastructure beyond the Dubai-Abu Dhabi corridor, fostering a new tech ecosystem in the Northern Emirates. The facility is expected to catalyze a local "AI Corridor," creating thousands of high-skilled roles in data science and MEP engineering while positioning the UAE as the primary AI investment hub for the MENA region.
