Status: Operational / Strategic Metro Interconnect Node | Location: 323 Mokdongdong-ro, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, 07991, South Korea
The KT Mokdong 2nd DC, also known as Mokdong 2 IDC, is an enterprise-grade colocation and cloud data center owned and operated by KT Cloud, a subsidiary of KT Corporation, at 323 Mokdongdong-ro in Seoul’s Yangcheon District, South Korea. Opened in October 2016, the facility was developed to complement the adjacent KT Mokdong 1st DC and forms part of KT Cloud’s broader Seoul metropolitan data center network. The facility serves as an important interconnection and business-continuity hub, supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, content delivery, and other mission-critical workloads across the Greater Seoul region. Its integration with KT Cloud’s metropolitan network provides customers with connectivity to other KT facilities and digital infrastructure nodes, supporting resilient data transmission and distributed IT deployments. The data center incorporates dual-path power and cooling infrastructure to improve operational resilience and support continuous service availability during maintenance or equipment failures. Its flexible rack environment accommodates standard deployments of approximately 3 kW per cabinet as well as higher-density computing zones supporting up to 10 kW per rack, allowing customers to select infrastructure according to workload requirements. The facility also hosts a key node for the Korea Internet Neutral Exchange (KOIX), providing opportunities for direct network peering and efficient traffic exchange with participating networks. These interconnection capabilities make the site suitable for enterprises, cloud providers, content platforms, telecommunications companies, and other organizations requiring low-latency connectivity within Seoul’s digital ecosystem. Its location in Mokdong also provides access to established telecommunications infrastructure and business districts across the capital region. By combining redundant power and cooling systems, flexible rack configurations, metropolitan network integration, and Internet Exchange connectivity, KT Mokdong 2nd DC provides a reliable platform for hybrid cloud deployments, enterprise hosting, content delivery, and other business-critical digital workloads throughout South Korea.
