Project Overview
Mainova WebHouse MWH01 is a flagship sustainable data center campus located in the Seckbach district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany, delivering up to 30 MW of critical IT capacity for hyperscale, cloud, enterprise, and artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. Developed by Mainova WebHouse, a subsidiary of regional energy provider Mainova AG, the campus spans approximately 12,200 m² across two interconnected multi-story facilities MWH01.1 at Gwinnerstraße 7 and MWH01.2 at Mergenthaler Straße 12 linked by an overhead skywalk to enable efficient operations and campus-wide connectivity. Purpose-built for next-generation digital infrastructure, the campus is engineered to support high-density computing environments with scalable power and cooling systems suitable for AI training clusters, cloud platforms, and mission-critical enterprise applications. Sustainability is central to the design, with the facility operating on 100% certified renewable electricity while incorporating rooftop photovoltaic systems and an advanced waste-heat recovery solution that feeds excess thermal energy into Frankfurt’s local district heating network, reducing the campus’s environmental footprint. Designed to achieve a low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of approximately 1.20, MWH01 combines energy efficiency with high operational resilience. Strategically located within Frankfurt’s primary digital corridor, the campus offers carrier-neutral connectivity and ultra-low-latency access to major telecommunications networks, cloud platforms, and the DE-CIX Internet Exchange, making it an ideal location for organizations requiring secure, scalable, and highly connected digital infrastructure in one of Europe’s leading data center markets.
