The NEXTDC B2 Brisbane Data Centre is a high-density sovereign hyperscale colocation facility located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, positioned on the fringe of the Brisbane CBD and serving as an important connectivity hub for South East Queensland. The facility provides enterprises, cloud service providers, technology companies, and digital platforms with access to resilient colocation infrastructure in one of Brisbane’s key commercial and telecommunications corridors. B2 is engineered to deliver 12.0 MW of critical IT load capacity across approximately 6,000 square meters of technical space, supporting a broad range of mission-critical applications and high-density computing environments. Its central Brisbane location enables low-latency access to cloud services and direct enterprise interconnections, creating an infrastructure platform suited to businesses requiring reliable connectivity between their systems, cloud environments, customers, and wider digital ecosystems. The facility also supports high-density liquid cooling, allowing it to accommodate the elevated thermal requirements associated with artificial intelligence, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and other increasingly compute-intensive workloads. B2 has a particularly strong resilience profile, having been the first data centre in Australia to achieve Uptime Institute Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF), reflecting a fault-tolerant design intended to maintain critical operations through infrastructure failures and maintenance activities. The facility also achieved Tier IV Gold Operational Sustainability, highlighting its focus on maintaining resilient infrastructure performance through operational practices and management processes. By combining substantial technical capacity, central-city connectivity, sovereign colocation capabilities, advanced cooling support, and Tier IV-certified resilience, NEXTDC B2 provides a strategic foundation for enterprise, cloud, AI, and HPC workloads across Brisbane and the broader South East Queensland digital infrastructure market.
