Oman Data Park Muscat Cloud Data Center: Tier III Managed & Cloud Hub in Oman

Status: Fully Operational Enterprise & Cloud Facility   |   Location: Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM 4) / Wattaya, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

Project Overview

Oman Data Park (ODP) Muscat Cloud Data Center is the premier Tier III certified cloud and carrier-neutral colocation facility in the Sultanate of Oman, providing mission-critical digital infrastructure for government entities, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, healthcare organizations, and enterprise customers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Strategically located in Muscat, with facilities spanning key technology and business hubs including Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) and Wattaya, the data center is operated by Oman Data Park (ODP), a joint venture between Omantel and 4Trust. Established to accelerate Oman's digital transformation and strengthen national data sovereignty, the facility delivers a comprehensive portfolio of cloud, colocation, managed IT, and cybersecurity services while ensuring that sensitive data can be securely hosted within the country. Built to internationally recognized Tier III standards, the data center incorporates concurrently maintainable electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including redundant utility connections, advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, standby backup generators, resilient power distribution, and precision cooling technologies that provide continuous service availability for mission-critical workloads. The facility supports high-density enterprise deployments, private and public cloud environments, disaster recovery platforms, virtualization, artificial intelligence (AI), and business-critical applications with scalable infrastructure designed to accommodate future growth. Multiple layers of physical security, including biometric access controls, 24/7 surveillance, environmental monitoring, and advanced fire detection and suppression systems, ensure the protection of customer assets and operational continuity. In addition to secure colocation and sovereign cloud hosting, ODP operates an advanced Cyber Security Centre that provides managed security services, threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance support for organizations with stringent security requirements. High-capacity connectivity through Omantel's national and international telecommunications infrastructure enables low-latency access to regional and global networks, cloud platforms, and enterprise ecosystems, supporting hybrid cloud integration and business continuity. As Oman's leading cloud and data center provider, Oman Data Park plays a pivotal role in advancing the country's digital economy, supporting government modernization initiatives, and strengthening the nation's position as an emerging digital infrastructure hub within the MENA region.
