Status: Under Construction / Master Development | Location: Greater Kuala Lumpur Metropolitan Area, Selangor, Malaysia
The Oracle Malaysia Public Cloud Region planned in Greater Kuala Lumpur represents a major digital infrastructure investment by Oracle Corporation designed to strengthen Malaysia’s position within Southeast Asia’s rapidly expanding cloud computing and artificial intelligence economy. Engineered to deliver more than 150 megawatts of gross utility capacity and approximately 120 megawatts of critical IT load across multiple physically isolated availability domains, the multi-facility cloud region is designed to support mission-critical enterprise applications, sovereign cloud requirements, database services, high-performance computing, and large-scale artificial intelligence workloads. Electrical infrastructure is planned around high-voltage grid connections managed by Tenaga Nasional Berhad, supported by modular static uninterruptible power supply systems, redundant electrical distribution architectures, and dedicated emergency generator arrays with extended fuel reserves to maintain service continuity during grid disruptions. The facilities are designed to accommodate extreme rack densities exceeding 100 kW per rack for demanding Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Supercluster deployments and accelerated computing environments. Advanced thermal-management systems, including closed-loop zero-water cooling and direct-to-chip liquid cooling technologies, are incorporated to efficiently manage heat generated by high-density GPU and computing infrastructure while improving resource efficiency in Malaysia’s tropical climate. Connectivity represents another strategic component of the planned cloud region, with diverse subterranean dark-fiber pathways providing resilient, low-latency connections to Malaysian internet exchanges, regional enterprise networks, telecommunications infrastructure, and international submarine cable landing stations serving the wider Asia-Pacific region. By combining large-scale electrical infrastructure, physically separated availability domains, advanced AI computing capabilities, sophisticated cooling technologies, and extensive regional connectivity, the Oracle Malaysia Public Cloud Region is positioned to become an important digital infrastructure hub supporting enterprise cloud adoption, sovereign computing requirements, and the accelerating demand for artificial intelligence services across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.
