Pure DC Brent Cross LON01 Expansion (LON01B2)
Status: Under Construction (Active live campus expansion; West Cold Shell phase awarded) | Location: Harp View, 12 Priestley Way, Brent Cross, London NW2 7AL, United Kingdom
Project Overview
Pure Data Centres’ Brent Cross campus expansion (LON01 / LON01B2) is a major £1+ billion GBP hyperscale digital infrastructure development located in North London, adjacent to the North Circular Road and Brent Reservoir. The expansion builds upon the original 20 MW Building 1 (LON01 B1) and introduces a multi-phase facility development across the LON01B2 East and West Shells, extending over 23,186 square meters. Once fully developed, the campus is expected to reach approximately 90 MW of total capacity, strengthening London’s position as a leading global data center market. Designed to support hyperscale cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and next-generation artificial intelligence GPU workloads, LON01 incorporates advanced high-density cooling technologies, including liquid and adiabatic cooling systems, along with flexible modular data hall configurations to meet evolving compute demands. A defining feature of the campus expansion is its innovative ecological design, featuring a world-first 7,400 square meter living wall facade covered with more than 750,000 plants. Built using a biochar-based substrate, the living wall is designed to absorb local noise pollution, improve air quality along the A406 corridor, and enhance biodiversity within the surrounding area. By combining large-scale digital infrastructure with sustainable urban design, Pure Data Centres’ Brent Cross campus represents a new model for environmentally conscious hyperscale development.
