Strategic IT/Industrial Cluster, Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Status: Under Development / Planned AI Expansion | Location: Strategic IT/Industrial Cluster, Hyderabad, Telangana, India
Project Overview
RackBank HYD5 is an AI-native data center campus strategically developed in Hyderabad, India, to support the rapidly growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and next-generation cloud infrastructure. Purpose-built for high-density GPU clusters, large language model (LLM) training, generative AI workloads, and real-time AI inference, the campus forms a key part of RackBank’s national green AI infrastructure strategy, providing enterprises and research organisations with scalable, sustainable, and future-ready compute capacity. A defining feature of the facility is RackBank’s proprietary Varuna liquid immersion cooling technology, which enables rack densities of up to 150 kW per cabinet while delivering exceptional thermal efficiency and significantly reducing energy consumption compared to conventional air-cooled environments. Engineered for ultra-efficient operations, HYD5 is designed with a low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), intelligent infrastructure management systems, and resilient electrical architecture to ensure continuous availability for mission-critical AI and cloud workloads. The campus is powered entirely by 100% renewable energy, reinforcing RackBank’s commitment to sustainable digital infrastructure while helping customers achieve their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. Extensive connectivity to India's major fibre-optic backbone networks provides low-latency access to cloud platforms, enterprise networks, internet exchanges, and regional digital ecosystems, enabling seamless hybrid and multi-cloud deployments. Supported by advanced physical security, redundant power systems, and scalable expansion capabilities, RackBank HYD5 offers a secure, high-performance platform for hyperscale cloud providers, AI enterprises, government organisations, research institutions, and technology innovators, strengthening Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s leading hubs for AI-driven digital infrastructure and advanced computing.
