Project Overview

The Salix Data Center Site is a proposed multi-billion-dollar hyperscale and AI data center campus on approximately 900 acres of annexed land near 260th Street and Charles Avenue in Salix, Woodbury County, Iowa, positioning the development as a major potential addition to the region's digital infrastructure capacity. Facilitated by MidAmerican Energy Company and identified with Google LLC as the primary end-user, the project is planned to support multiple large-scale data center buildings serving the expanding requirements of cloud computing, artificial intelligence and other data-intensive applications. The substantial land area provides room for phased development, allowing the campus to expand as demand for computing capacity increases while supporting the infrastructure requirements of hyperscale facilities.
