The Samsung SDS Sangam ICT Center is a high-tech enterprise data center located in Digital Media City (DMC) in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea, serving as an important component of Samsung SDS’s broader domestic and global digital infrastructure network. Operational since May 2015, the facility was developed to support mission-critical enterprise computing, cloud services, disaster recovery, and large-scale digital workloads requiring high availability and resilient infrastructure. The center functions as a primary active-active cloud and financial backup node, allowing critical workloads and data to be distributed across multiple facilities to improve business continuity and reduce the risk associated with dependence on a single data center. A significant portion of its infrastructure supports Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) workloads, providing computing, storage, networking, and cloud services for enterprise customers and Samsung SDS operations. The facility also supports commercial interconnection deployments, including connectivity associated with Equinix SL1, enabling organizations to establish connections with cloud providers, telecommunications networks, and other digital infrastructure platforms. Its location within Seoul’s Digital Media City places the facility within a major technology, media, and telecommunications ecosystem, providing access to established network connectivity and enterprise infrastructure.
