The facility is designed to support highly critical IT workloads for Samsung Electronics and other enterprise operations, including research and development environments, corporate enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and core Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) infrastructure. As part of Samsung SDS’s multi-site resilience strategy, the Suwon ICT Center operates as a central active-active node alongside the Dongtan and Sangam facilities, enabling workloads and critical services to be distributed across geographically separated locations. This architecture enhances availability, supports business continuity, and provides additional protection against localized infrastructure failures or service disruptions.
