Serverfarm Amsterdam AMS1 Data Center: 18MW AI-Ready Colocation Hub Netherlands
Status: Fully Operational Enterprise, Cloud & AI Colocation Hub | Location: Keienbergweg 22, 1101 GB Amsterdam / Archangelkade 1, 1013 BE Amsterdam, Netherlands
Project Overview
Serverfarm AMS1 is an award-winning 18 MW AI-ready colocation data center strategically located within Amsterdam's A10 ring road, less than 4 kilometers from the city center, placing it at the heart of one of Europe's most important digital infrastructure and connectivity hubs. Developed through Serverfarm's sustainable adaptive reuse model, the facility transforms an existing enterprise property into a modern, energy-efficient data center, reducing construction-related environmental impacts while delivering world-class infrastructure for hyperscale cloud providers, software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies, financial institutions, telecommunications operators, content providers, and enterprise customers. Engineered to support next-generation artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and high-performance computing (HPC) environments, AMS1 offers high-density compute capabilities ranging from approximately 400 to 750 watts per square foot, enabling organizations to deploy GPU-intensive workloads with exceptional performance and scalability. As an NVIDIA DGX-certified facility, the data center incorporates advanced direct liquid cooling technologies, flexible rack density configurations, and intelligent thermal management systems that efficiently support the latest AI infrastructure while optimizing energy consumption. The campus also features resilient utility power infrastructure, redundant electrical distribution systems, backup generation, advanced fire detection and suppression technologies, intelligent building management platforms, and multi-layer physical security with continuous monitoring to ensure uninterrupted operation of mission-critical applications. As a carrier-neutral facility, AMS1 provides low-latency connectivity to major European internet exchanges, cloud platforms, and multiple telecommunications providers through diverse fiber routes, enabling seamless hybrid and multi-cloud deployments across regional and global networks. Its central Amsterdam location offers proximity to Europe's leading financial, technology, and digital services markets while benefiting from the city's exceptional international connectivity ecosystem. By combining sustainable redevelopment, AI-ready infrastructure, NVIDIA-certified capabilities, resilient operations, and rich carrier-neutral connectivity, Serverfarm AMS1 serves as a future-ready digital infrastructure platform supporting the growing demands of cloud computing, enterprise digital transformation, and next-generation AI workloads across Europe.
