Project Overview

The Stream Data Centers DFWC1, also referred to as SDC DFWC1, is the inaugural hyperscale data center facility within Stream Data Centers' 140-acre DFWC "Wilmer II" Hyperscale Campus, located at 930 N Sunrise Road, Wilmer, Texas 75172, USA, in South Dallas County. Developed by Stream Data Centers, the project forms the first phase of a larger multi-phase master-planned campus designed to provide substantial capacity for hyperscale cloud, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing (HPC), and enterprise workloads. The full DFWC campus is planned for approximately 240.0 MW of critical IT capacity, supported by approximately 372.0 MW of on-site utility substation capability, with a total planned development footprint of approximately 1.52 million square feet across the broader campus. DFWC1 itself is a purpose-built, two-story data center facility encompassing approximately 360,750 square feet and providing approximately 48.0 MW of critical IT load. Its scale and electrical capacity enable the facility to accommodate large-scale computing deployments while providing infrastructure for future increases in rack density and processing requirements. The campus is strategically positioned outside designated flood zones and flight paths, supporting site resilience and operational continuity while providing suitable conditions for large-scale data center development. For thermal management, DFWC1 incorporates closed-loop cooling infrastructure together with direct-to-chip liquid cooling capabilities designed to support increasingly dense computing environments. These systems are particularly suited to AI clusters and HPC workloads, where advanced GPU-based systems can generate significantly higher heat loads than conventional enterprise servers. The broader campus configuration also provides Stream Data Centers with the ability to expand capacity through additional phases as market demand develops. With its large land position, substantial planned campus capacity, dedicated utility infrastructure, and advanced liquid-cooling capabilities, DFWC1 represents an important addition to the expanding South Dallas data center market and demonstrates the growing emphasis on scalable facilities capable of supporting next-generation cloud and AI computing requirements.
