Status: Operational / Fully Leased Hyperscale & Enterprise Colocation | Location: 1925 Busse Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, USA
Stream DC Chicago II is a 226,000 sq ft standalone data center facility located on a 15-acre campus at 1925 Busse Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, purpose-built to support hyperscale cloud deployments and enterprise colocation in the Chicago data center market. The facility delivers 32.0 MW of critical IT capacity across 130,000 sq ft of raised-floor whitespace, providing substantial room for high-density compute environments and scalable enterprise infrastructure. Power is supplied directly through ComEd’s dedicated 34.5 kV utility distribution grid, providing a direct connection to the local electrical network required to support the facility’s substantial IT load. Its mechanical and electrical infrastructure combines N+1 and 2N redundancy topologies, providing additional capacity and independent power or cooling paths for critical systems and supporting operational resilience during maintenance or equipment events. The facility is also equipped for direct-to-chip liquid cooling, an important capability for modern high-density computing where processors and accelerators generate significantly greater heat than conventional enterprise systems. This makes the site suitable for evolving cloud, hyperscale, AI, and other data-intensive workloads requiring advanced thermal management. Connectivity is supported through dual subterranean carrier-neutral fiber vaults, providing diverse physical entry points for telecommunications infrastructure and reducing dependence on a single network route. Low-latency access to major Chicago dark fiber networks further supports high-performance connectivity between the facility and the region’s broader carrier and interconnection ecosystem. Its Elk Grove Village location places the facility within an established Chicago data center cluster with extensive power and network infrastructure. With 32 MW of critical IT capacity, 130,000 sq ft of raised-floor space, direct utility connectivity, liquid-cooling capability, resilient infrastructure, and diverse fiber access, Stream DC Chicago II provides a scalable platform for hyperscale cloud and enterprise workloads.
