Status: Under Construction / Planned Hyperscale & AI-Ready Campus | Location: 2000 Landmeier Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, USA
Stream DC Chicago III is a 1,200,000 sq ft hyperscale data center campus located at 2000 Landmeier Road in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, with a master-planned ultimate utility power allocation of 260 MW for large-scale cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads. The development is designed to provide substantial long-term capacity for high-density computing, supporting the growing power and infrastructure requirements of hyperscale cloud deployments and AI applications. Power is supplied through Commonwealth Edison (ComEd) high-voltage grid interconnects, providing access to the utility infrastructure required to support the campus’s large ultimate power allocation. The multi-story facility incorporates scalable 2N and distributed redundant power configurations, providing multiple layers of electrical resilience and allowing infrastructure to be expanded in line with deployment requirements. Its closed-loop chilled-water systems support direct-to-chip liquid cooling, enabling more effective thermal management for high-density processors and AI accelerators whose heat output can exceed the practical capabilities of conventional air-cooled systems. Connectivity is supported through dual subterranean carrier-neutral fiber vaults, providing diverse physical network entry points and enabling access to multiple telecommunications providers. Low-latency connectivity to major regional carrier hubs across the O’Hare submarket further integrates the campus with Chicago’s established network ecosystem, supporting cloud connectivity, enterprise applications, data-intensive services, and high-volume traffic exchange. Located within the O’Hare data center corridor, the development benefits from proximity to established power and telecommunications infrastructure while providing a large-scale platform for future expansion. With 1.2 million sq ft of planned data center space, 260 MW of ultimate utility power allocation, liquid-cooling capability, redundant electrical architecture, and diverse carrier-neutral fiber connectivity, Stream DC Chicago III is structured to support large hyperscale, enterprise, and AI computing deployments at significant scale.
