STT Pune DC 4, operated by ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India, represents a major high-density facility within STT GDC’s flagship digital infrastructure campus along Pune-Alandi Road in Dighi, Pune. The facility is designed to support hyperscale cloud platforms, digital enterprises, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing workloads, providing 18.0 MW of critical IT capacity. Its electrical infrastructure is supported by a dedicated 220 kV utility substation with 100 MVA capacity, expandable to 200 MVA across the wider campus, enabling scalable power availability for future deployments. Reliability is reinforced through modular static 2N and N+1 UPS configurations, complemented by standby diesel generators for backup power during utility interruptions. The facility uses high-efficiency chilled-water cooling systems engineered to support rapid restart capabilities and demanding rack densities of up to 12 kW per rack, with provisions for both conventional air cooling and direct liquid cooling technologies. Strategically located within Pune’s major technology corridor and positioned near Mumbai, STT Pune DC 4 benefits from strong connectivity to India’s key digital and telecommunications hubs. The facility incorporates dual carrier-neutral meet-me rooms, providing customers with access to multiple telecommunications providers and diverse fiber connectivity. Low-latency terrestrial fiber routes connect the site with Mumbai’s subsea cable gateways and major cloud availability zones, supporting reliable data exchange and enterprise applications. A comprehensive five-layer physical security framework operates around the clock, helping protect critical infrastructure, equipment, and customer environments while supporting secure, resilient, and scalable digital operations.
