Project Summary

Tecto BEL1 Belem Para Regional Edge Colocation Data Center

Status: Active Development / Expansion Roadmap   |   Location: Bairro do Uriboca, Belรฉm, PA 66600, Brazil

Project Overview

The Tecto BEL1 Data Center is a strategic regional edge colocation and connectivity facility developed by Tecto Data Centers, a digital infrastructure platform backed by BTG Pactual and integrated with V.tal’s extensive fiber ecosystem, in Belém, Pará, Brazil. Located in the Bairro do Uriboca area, the facility is positioned to serve as an important northern digital gateway, supporting low-latency cloud connectivity, telecommunications interconnection and regional digital services across Northern Brazil and the Amazon Delta region. Engineered to Tier III-equivalent availability standards, BEL1 provides resilient technical infrastructure designed to accommodate telecom operators, government workloads, regional enterprises, cloud service providers and other mission-critical applications. The facility incorporates dual A+B utility power distribution, redundant static UPS systems and standby emergency diesel generators to strengthen electrical resilience and maintain service continuity during utility disruptions or maintenance events. Its mechanical infrastructure includes N+1 precision climate-control systems designed to provide reliable thermal management for IT equipment operating within the facility. Network connectivity represents a central component of BEL1’s strategic role, with direct integration into V.tal’s multi-terabit terrestrial and subsea optical fiber infrastructure. These network connections provide pathways toward major Brazilian digital and telecommunications hubs, including Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, while improving access to national and international connectivity. Its location in Belém also positions the facility close to the growing digital requirements of businesses and public-sector organizations throughout Northern Brazil. By combining resilient colocation infrastructure with extensive fiber connectivity, Tecto BEL1 is positioned to support cloud adoption, telecommunications services, government digitalization and enterprise computing while strengthening Belém’s role as an emerging digital infrastructure hub for the Amazon region.
