Tecto POA2 Avenida Willy Eugenio Fleck Porto Alegre 20MW Data Center

Status: Active Development / Under Construction   |   Location: Avenida Willy EugΓͺnio Fleck, Porto Alegre, RS 91140-410, Brazil

Project Overview

The Tecto Porto Alegre POA2 Data Center is a major regional digital infrastructure expansion developed by Tecto Data Centers, backed by BTG Pactual and integrated with V.tal’s extensive optical network, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Located on Avenida Willy Eugênio Fleck, the facility represents an investment of approximately R$200 million and expands Tecto’s presence in Southern Brazil, positioning Porto Alegre as an important digital gateway for the state’s industrial, enterprise, telecommunications and cloud computing markets. POA2 is designed to provide up to 20 MW of critical IT load capacity, supporting cloud service providers, enterprises, telecommunications networks and other high-density digital workloads. Engineered to Tier III-equivalent standards with concurrent maintainability, the facility incorporates resilient electrical infrastructure designed to support continuous mission-critical operations. Its power architecture includes dual-path A+B high-voltage utility distribution, redundant static UPS systems and standby emergency diesel generation, providing multiple layers of electrical resilience. The facility also incorporates closed-loop precision cooling systems designed to maintain stable operating conditions for dense IT environments. Connectivity is a key component of POA2’s strategic positioning, with direct access to V.tal’s Malbec submarine cable system, which connects Brazil with Argentina and provides an important international telecommunications pathway. Carrier-neutral connectivity to IX.br Porto Alegre further enhances interconnection opportunities among telecommunications carriers, cloud platforms, enterprises and internet networks. The facility’s location within Porto Alegre provides proximity to major industrial and commercial users while connecting the region to Brazil’s broader digital infrastructure ecosystem. With substantial IT capacity, resilient power systems, advanced cooling and direct access to international and domestic fiber networks, Tecto Porto Alegre POA2 is positioned to support the continued growth of cloud computing, enterprise digital services and telecommunications infrastructure across Southern Brazil.
