Valfortec Data Center “El Lobo” is a state-of-the-art edge AI and colocation infrastructure project located in the Polígono Las Norias industrial corridor of Monforte del Cid, Alicante, Spain. Promoted by Valfortec S.L., the facility is designed with a 30 MW capacity to support low-latency computing, artificial intelligence workloads, high-density server deployments, enterprise applications, and regional colocation requirements. The project integrates digital infrastructure with dedicated renewable energy generation through direct hybridization with the co-located 40 MW solar photovoltaic plant known as PSF El Lobo. Additional wind generation and nearby battery energy storage systems provide complementary energy resources and support greater flexibility in managing electricity supply for data center operations. This integrated energy architecture is designed to reduce reliance on conventional grid electricity while supporting the facility’s high and continuous power requirements. The project’s location within the Valencian Community also provides a strategic position for serving regional businesses and digital services that require low-latency infrastructure closer to end users. Advanced energy storage capabilities can help balance renewable generation with computing demand and provide additional operational resilience. The combination of edge computing, AI-ready capacity, solar generation, wind power, and battery storage creates an integrated infrastructure model linking digital workloads with renewable electricity resources.
