Vantage FRA1 Frankfurt: 56MW German Hyperscale Data Center Campus
Status: Operational / Active Campus Expansion | Location: Goethering 27, 63067 Offenbach am Main, Hesse, Germany
Project Overview
The Vantage Data Centers Frankfurt I (FRA1) Campus is a flagship hyperscale digital infrastructure development located in Offenbach am Main, just one kilometer from the primary peering and data center hubs of the Frankfurt metropolitan region, one of Europe's most important connectivity markets. Spread across approximately 452,000 square feet (42,000 square meters) on an 8-acre campus, the development comprises three multi-story data center buildings delivering up to 56 MW of critical IT power. Designed to support hyperscale cloud providers, global enterprises, financial institutions, and advanced artificial intelligence workloads, FRA1 provides highly scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure for mission-critical digital operations. The campus is powered by a dedicated onsite high-voltage transmission substation supplied by Energieversorgung Offenbach AG (EVO), providing 100% concurrently maintainable N+1 power redundancy to ensure exceptional reliability and continuous availability. Advanced cooling infrastructure combines energy-efficient closed-loop chilled water systems with air-side economizers, enabling the facility to achieve a low design Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of approximately 1.30 while maintaining near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE), significantly reducing environmental impact. Strategically located just 15 minutes from Frankfurt Airport, the campus benefits from diverse underground fiber routes connecting to more than 20 global network carriers and the DE CIX internet exchange, one of the world's largest peering platforms. Its combination of robust power infrastructure, sustainable cooling technologies, exceptional connectivity, and proximity to Europe's leading financial and digital ecosystem makes the FRA1 Campus a premier destination for hyperscale cloud platforms, AI deployments, and multinational enterprises seeking future-ready digital infrastructure.
