Project Overview

The Vantage MXP1 Milan Campus, also known as the Milan I Data Center Campus, is a major hyperscale data center development owned and operated by Vantage Data Centers in Italy. Located in the Linate area of Greater Milan in Lombardy, Italy, just minutes from Milan Linate Airport and approximately 30 minutes from central Milan, the approximately 30-acre (12-hectare) campus is strategically positioned to serve cloud service providers, large enterprises, digital infrastructure operators, and artificial intelligence workloads. The campus spans more than 316,000 square feet (29,300+ square meters) of building footprint across multiple multi-story facilities and is designed to deliver approximately 64 MW of critical IT capacity, making it one of the significant hyperscale infrastructure developments in the Milan market. Built around Tier III-equivalent high-availability principles, MXP1 incorporates resilient electrical infrastructure with dual 2N power path configurations, modular static UPS systems, and standby emergency diesel generation to support continuous operations and critical computing workloads. Its cooling infrastructure includes closed-loop chilled-water systems capable of supporting direct-to-chip liquid cooling, providing a pathway for high-density computing environments associated with artificial intelligence, accelerated computing, and advanced cloud workloads. The campus also benefits from carrier-neutral fiber connectivity, with network paths integrated into MIX (Milan Internet eXchange), enabling customers to connect with a broad ecosystem of carriers, cloud providers, content networks, and other digital service providers. Its proximity to Milan’s airport, business districts, telecommunications infrastructure, and major connectivity routes further strengthens the campus’s position within Northern Italy’s digital infrastructure ecosystem. With substantial power capacity, scalable facilities, resilient infrastructure, advanced cooling capabilities, and extensive network connectivity, Vantage MXP1 is positioned to support the continued growth of hyperscale cloud, enterprise computing, and AI infrastructure requirements in Italy and across Southern Europe.
