Project Summary

Vantage QC23 Quebec City Data Center: 86MW Hyperscale & HPC Campus Canada

Status: Active / Under Development / Expansion   |   Location: 2675 Boulevard du Parc Technologique, Québec City, QC G1P 4S5, Canada

Project Overview

Vantage QC23 is the third hyperscale data center facility within Vantage Data Centers' 30-acre QC2 campus, strategically located in the Metro High Tech Park (Parc Technologique du Québec métropolitain) in Québec City, Canada. Purpose-built to meet the growing demand for hyperscale cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and enterprise digital infrastructure, QC23 is engineered to support ultra-high-density deployments with rack power densities of up to 300 watts per square foot. The facility provides a scalable and resilient platform for cloud service providers, AI innovators, financial institutions, and multinational enterprises requiring secure, high-performance colocation services. Leveraging Québec's abundant supply of low-cost renewable hydroelectric power, the campus delivers a highly sustainable operating environment while helping customers reduce the carbon footprint of their digital infrastructure. The region's naturally cold climate further enhances energy efficiency by enabling extensive free-air economization and reducing dependence on traditional mechanical cooling systems, resulting in lower operating costs and improved Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE). Designed to international standards for reliability and operational resilience, QC23 incorporates redundant electrical and mechanical infrastructure, advanced cooling technologies, high-density rack support, intelligent building management systems, and comprehensive fire detection, suppression, and physical security systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of mission-critical workloads. Carrier-neutral connectivity provides access to multiple telecommunications providers and diverse fiber routes, enabling low-latency connectivity to major Canadian, U.S., and international cloud platforms and enterprise networks. As part of the expanding QC2 campus, QC23 also benefits from a master-planned environment that allows future capacity growth while maintaining operational efficiency and infrastructure resilience. Combining renewable energy, sustainable design, scalable power delivery, and next-generation AI readiness, Vantage QC23 strengthens Québec City's position as one of North America's leading low-carbon hyperscale data center markets.
