Vantage VA2 Ashburn II: 96MW Northern Virginia Hyperscale Campus
Status: Operational / Active Campus Expansion | Location: 22435 Glenn Drive, Sterling, VA 20164, USA
Project Overview
Vantage Data Centers' Ashburn II (VA2) Campus is a 96 MW hyperscale data center campus located in Sterling/Ashburn, Loudoun County, Virginia, one of the world's leading data center markets. Spanning approximately 800,000 square feet across three multi-story facilities on an 18-acre campus, VA2 is purpose-built to support hyperscale cloud platforms, enterprise computing, and high-density artificial intelligence (AI) workloads with rack densities of up to 300 W/sq ft. Power is delivered through high-reliability dual transmission feeds from Dominion Energy, providing resilient and scalable electrical infrastructure for mission-critical operations. The campus features advanced closed-loop chilled water cooling systems with air-side economizers, enabling highly efficient operation with near-zero Water Utilization Efficiency (WUE) while maintaining N+2 mechanical redundancy for enhanced reliability. Located less than two miles from Vantage's VA1 campus and key regional internet peering exchanges, the carrier-neutral facility delivers exceptional network performance through six Meet-Me-Rooms (MMRs) and three subterranean Points of Entry (POEs), ensuring diverse fiber routing and low-latency connectivity. Combining scalable power, sustainable cooling technologies, robust network infrastructure, and proximity to the largest concentration of cloud and internet providers, the VA2 Campus is a premier destination for hyperscale, AI, and enterprise digital infrastructu
