Status: Operational / Phased Expansion Campus | Location: Slough Trading Estate, Slough, SL1 4PN, United Kingdom
VIRTUS Slough Campus is a 145.5 MW critical IT load hyperscale data center estate comprising seven interconnected facilities LONDON3, LONDON4, LONDON9, LONDON10, LONDON11, LONDON12, and LONDON19 on the Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire, United Kingdom. With more than 65,000 m² of net technical whitespace, the campus represents the largest single-operator data center campus in the Slough corridor, providing substantial capacity for high-density cloud, enterprise, and liquid-cooled AI computing workloads. Its multi-facility configuration enables customers to deploy across a broad technical footprint while accessing an established hyperscale infrastructure environment. Each facility incorporates N+1 block-redundant static UPS topologies, providing additional resilience across critical electrical systems and supporting high-availability computing operations. Cooling infrastructure is centered on VIRTUS’ Air Flooded Room approach, with direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling options supporting rack densities of more than 80 kW per rack. These capabilities allow the campus to accommodate the greater thermal requirements associated with high-density GPU and AI computing while providing cooling flexibility for different customer architectures. The campus operates with 100% renewable power, supporting customer sustainability objectives and reducing reliance on conventional electricity sources. Connectivity is supported through dual carrier-neutral Meet-Me-Rooms, enabling access to multiple network providers and interconnection services. Low-latency fiber interlinks to London exchanges further connect the campus with major digital and network ecosystems, supporting cloud platforms, enterprise applications, financial services, and other data-intensive workloads. The combination of 145.5 MW of critical IT capacity, extensive technical whitespace, high-density liquid cooling, resilient power systems, renewable electricity, and London connectivity provides a scalable infrastructure platform for demanding digital workloads. Its concentration of seven interconnected facilities also reinforces Slough’s role as a major UK data center location.
