VNPT IDC Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Data Center: Enterprise Colocation in HCMC District 1
Status: Fully Operational Enterprise Data Center | Location: 12/1 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, Da Kao Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Project Overview
VNPT IDC Nguyen Thi Minh Khai is a strategic urban edge data center facility located in District 1, the central business district of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Operated by Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the facility is designed to provide low-latency digital infrastructure for organizations that require close proximity to the city's financial, commercial, and government institutions. Covering approximately 400 m² and accommodating up to 75 server racks, the data center delivers secure colocation, managed hosting, cloud connectivity, and interconnection services for financial institutions, government agencies, multinational corporations, telecommunications providers, and enterprise customers with mission-critical IT requirements. Its central location makes it particularly suitable for latency-sensitive applications such as financial transactions, digital banking, e-commerce platforms, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and business continuity solutions that benefit from rapid access to users and network infrastructure within Ho Chi Minh City. Built and operated in accordance with international Tier III standards, the facility incorporates concurrently maintainable electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including redundant power distribution, advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, standby backup generators, and precision cooling technologies that ensure continuous availability and operational reliability. The data center also features comprehensive physical security measures, including controlled access systems, biometric authentication, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, environmental monitoring, and advanced fire detection and suppression systems to protect customer equipment and critical business data. Direct integration with VNPT's nationwide telecommunications backbone provides customers with high-speed, low-latency connectivity to major cities throughout Vietnam as well as international internet gateways and subsea cable systems, enabling seamless access to cloud platforms, enterprise networks, and global digital services. Supporting hybrid cloud architectures, disaster recovery, private networking, and edge computing applications, VNPT IDC Nguyen Thi Minh Khai serves as an important component of VNPT's national data center ecosystem while reinforcing Ho Chi Minh City's role as Vietnam's leading commercial and digital technology hub.
