VNPT IDC Tan Thuan Data Center: Tier III Colocation & Cloud Hub in Ho Chi Minh City
Status: Fully Operational Enterprise & Cloud Data Center | Location: 02C-03A Đường số 24, Khu chế Xuất, Tân Thuận, Hồ Chí Minh, Vietnam
Project Overview
VNPT IDC Tan Thuan is a major Tier III data center facility strategically located within the Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, serving as one of Southern Vietnam's most important digital infrastructure hubs. Operated by Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT), the facility plays a critical role in supporting the country's accelerating digital transformation, cloud adoption, and enterprise IT modernization. Covering approximately 10,000 m² and designed to accommodate up to 1,200 server racks, IDC Tan Thuan provides highly scalable colocation, cloud hosting, managed infrastructure, disaster recovery, and network connectivity services for government agencies, state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, multinational corporations, telecommunications providers, and rapidly growing technology companies. Built to Tier III standards, the data center incorporates concurrently maintainable electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including redundant utility connections, advanced uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, standby backup generators, resilient power distribution architecture, and precision cooling technologies that ensure continuous availability for mission-critical workloads. The facility is engineered to support a wide range of applications, including private and hybrid cloud deployments, enterprise virtualization, artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), big data analytics, and business-critical digital services. Comprehensive physical security measures, including biometric access controls, 24/7 CCTV surveillance, environmental monitoring, and advanced fire detection and suppression systems, provide multiple layers of protection for customer infrastructure. A key advantage of IDC Tan Thuan is its direct integration with VNPT's nationwide telecommunications backbone, providing resilient, low-latency connectivity across Vietnam and seamless access to international networks through major subsea cable systems. This extensive fiber infrastructure enables customers to establish reliable connections to domestic and global cloud platforms, internet exchange points, enterprise networks, and international business operations while supporting hybrid cloud integration, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies. As one of VNPT's flagship data centers, IDC Tan Thuan strengthens Vietnam's digital infrastructure ecosystem and reinforces Ho Chi Minh City's role as a leading technology and connectivity hub in Southeast Asia, supporting the country's long-term economic development and digital innovation initiatives.
