Yondr Group’s 300 MW Sedenak Tech Park campus in Johor, Malaysia, represents one of the largest hyperscale data center developments in Southeast Asia. Spanning 72.5 acres within the strategic Sedenak Technology Valley corridor, the multi-building campus was conceived as a primary computing alternative to power-constrained Singapore. By offering ultra-low latency interconnectivity across the Johore Strait, the campus provides global cloud providers and artificial intelligence platforms with high-density processing capacity The campus layout is built around modular, high-efficiency data halls designed to handle dense racks for AI model training and parallel processing arrays. Supported by a landmark $150 million financing package from the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC), the project serves as a key pillar in Malaysia's digital economic growth strategy. Power delivery is secured through a direct agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) via its Green Lane Pathway initiative, which accelerated grid readiness and enabled the commissioning of a dedicated 275kV high-voltage main intake substation on-site. Sustainability and resource conservation are built directly into the facility design. The buildings integrate advanced closed-loop cooling systems that significantly reduce water usage compared to standard evaporative cooling systems, protecting regional water reserves. Combined with carrier-neutral dark fiber routes into Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and broader pan-Asian cable networks, Yondr’s Johor campus functions as an essential, high-availability digital crossroads for regional cloud workloads and enterprise AI deployments across Asia-Pacific.
