Stockholm, Sweden - April 16, 2026 - Bravida has signed an agreement with EcoDataCenter to carry out installation work at two data centers in Kvarnsveden, Borlänge, with a total contract value of approximately SEK 200 million (~USD 21.77 million).
The project comprises two separate facilities, each valued at around SEK 100 million (~USD 10 million). Bravida’s scope of work includes installations related to electricity supply, power systems, and lighting infrastructure, core components required to support modern, high-performance data center operations.
The installations are scheduled to be completed by mid-2027, aligning with broader efforts to expand digital infrastructure capacity in Sweden amid rising demand driven by artificial intelligence and data-intensive applications.
Executives highlighted the growing need for data center development as a critical enabler of the digital economy. Increasing reliance on AI and cloud services is placing pressure on existing infrastructure, making new capacity essential to meet future demand.
The agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between Bravida and EcoDataCenter, which has collaborated on multiple projects since 2017. The continued partnership reflects a shared focus on scaling infrastructure efficiently in response to accelerating market requirements.
Bravida noted that it has completed installation projects across ten data centers in Sweden over the past five years, positioning the company as a key contractor in the region’s growing data center market. Its ability to manage large-scale and complex installations has become increasingly important as facilities evolve to support higher power densities and advanced computing workloads.
Industry observers point to Sweden’s strong position in the European data center landscape, supported by access to renewable energy, favorable climate conditions, and a robust digital infrastructure ecosystem. Locations such as Borlänge are gaining traction as operators seek to expand beyond traditional hubs while maintaining efficiency and sustainability.
The latest contract underscores a broader trend of increased investment in data center construction and supporting infrastructure across the Nordic region. As demand for AI-driven computing continues to grow, partnerships between developers and specialized contractors are expected to play a critical role in delivering new capacity at scale.
By securing this project, Bravida reinforces its position in the data center segment while contributing to the expansion of Sweden’s digital infrastructure, which is becoming increasingly vital to supporting next-generation technologies.
