Singapore - March 17, 2026 - Empyrion Digital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CypressTel to strengthen connectivity and interconnection capabilities across its data center platform in Asia.

The agreement will see CypressTel and its affiliate DataShell leverage capacity within Empyrion’s current and upcoming data center facilities, beginning with its second Singapore project. The partnership is aimed at delivering low-latency, high-performance network services to enterprises and hyperscalers operating in the region.

Under the MOU, Empyrion Digital will provide CypressTel with capacity optionality across key markets, including planned expansions in North Asia. This enables CypressTel to extend its network footprint while integrating directly into carrier-neutral, interconnection-ready environments designed for high-density digital workloads.

CypressTel brings a global network backbone with more than 140 points of presence (PoPs), allowing customers to access a wide ecosystem of connectivity services. By combining this with Empyrion’s data center infrastructure, the companies aim to deliver an integrated platform that supports multi-cloud, hybrid IT, and AI-driven applications.

The collaboration reflects a broader shift in the data center industry, where connectivity is becoming as critical as compute and power. As enterprises scale AI deployments and distributed workloads, demand is rising for infrastructure that can support seamless data movement across regions with minimal latency.

Singapore will serve as a key anchor point for the partnership, reinforcing its role as a leading interconnection hub in Asia. The city-state continues to attract investment in digital infrastructure due to its strategic location, regulatory stability, and dense network ecosystem.

Executives from both companies highlighted the growing need for scalable, secure, and interconnected infrastructure to support next-generation digital services. The partnership is expected to enhance service delivery capabilities for customers requiring high-speed connectivity alongside reliable data center capacity.

The MOU also underscores the increasing importance of carrier-neutral ecosystems, where multiple network providers can interconnect within a single facility. This model enables greater flexibility for enterprises while supporting the rapid scaling requirements of hyperscale and AI workloads.

As digital demand accelerates across Asia, the Empyrion Digital–CypressTel collaboration signals a move toward integrated infrastructure strategies, where data centers and networks are deployed as a unified platform to meet evolving performance and latency requirements.
