London, UK - December 16, 2025 - GreenScale, the London-based hyperscale data centre developer, and Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, today announced a strategic collaboration to deliver prefabricated AI-ready data centre platforms engineered for next-generation workloads, with a significant expansion target in Northern Ireland and across Europe.
Under the agreement, GreenScale will lead slab-down construction and comprehensive site services, including grid integration, permitting, battery monitoring and security, while Vertiv will supply standardised, factory-built AI-ready modules engineered to support high-density liquid-cooled environments.
Following a competitive pre-qualification process, GreenScale selected Vertiv as its preferred provider for Vertiv OneCore hybrid-built data centres. The OneCore platforms support over 200 kW per rack and include integrated coolant distribution units with dual-loop liquid cooling, a configuration optimised for GPU-intensive AI and high-performance computing workloads.
Vertiv’s VP of Infrastructure Solutions Business EMEA, Vedran Brzić, emphasised the collaboration’s role in accelerating scalable capacity:
“AI workloads demand density and speed. By integrating the Vertiv OneCore platform into GreenScale’s standard design, we can help to accelerate the deployment of scalable infrastructure for AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and high-density computing. Our scalable prefabricated solution integrates our proven power, thermal, and IT infrastructure into a single factory-assembled system.”
GreenScale’s CEO, Dan Thomas, positioned the partnership as central to the company’s growth strategy:
“Our collaboration with Vertiv aligns perfectly with GreenScale’s mission to rapidly deploy high-efficiency, AI-ready infrastructure across Europe. By standardising on Vertiv’s prefabricated platforms, we gain significant advantages in speed-to-market, quality control, and operational efficiency.”
According to GreenScale’s announcement, the company plans to develop approximately 120 MW of capacity in Northern Ireland, with an additional 300 MW across the Nordic region and a long-term vision to deploy close to 1 GW of capacity across Europe.
Industry observers note that the emphasis on prefabricated, factory-integrated modules reflects broader trends in AI data centre deployments, where speed, consistency, and the ability to support high-density cooling are becoming key differentiators as organisations race to deliver next-generation compute platforms.
By separating module fabrication from on-site construction, the partnership aims to reduce variability between builds, compress delivery timelines and enable GreenScale to scale its campuses more efficiently, a crucial factor in meeting the burgeoning demand for AI and HPC workloads.
The Vertiv and GreenScale collaboration underscores how strategic partnerships between infrastructure specialists and developers are shaping the data centre landscape in Europe, particularly in emerging hubs like Northern Ireland.
