Dubai, United Arab Emirates - February 10, 2026 - Sun Drops Energia, a subsidiary of KPI Green Energy Limited, has secured a contract to design, supply, and install a 33 kWp solar power system paired with a 573 kWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for a containerized data center operated by FVE Lifecare General Trading LLC in the United Arab Emirates.

The project marks a significant step in KPI Green Energy’s international expansion, showcasing the company’s expertise in delivering turnkey renewable energy and storage solutions for mission-critical infrastructure. Sun Drops Energia will oversee the full engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) process, ensuring the solar array and battery system work seamlessly to provide uninterrupted power for the facility.

The 573 kWh BESS is designed to store energy during off-peak periods and release it during peak demand, enhancing grid stability and guaranteeing continuous operation for the data center. Integration of solar power with battery storage is increasingly critical for data centers, which require reliable, 24/7 power to support AI workloads, cloud operations, and other enterprise services.

A KPI Green Energy spokesperson said, “This project demonstrates our ability to deliver high-reliability solar and energy storage systems that meet the demanding power requirements of modern data centers.”

The UAE’s data center sector is rapidly adopting renewable energy and storage technologies to improve sustainability and operational reliability. Experts note that solar-plus-BESS solutions allow operators to reduce reliance on diesel generators and mitigate grid fluctuations while supporting decarbonization targets.

Installation and commissioning are expected to be completed within 2026. Once operational, the facility will benefit from a hybrid energy model, combining solar generation with stored energy to maintain continuous uptime. The project underscores KPI Green Energy’s role in advancing clean, resilient power solutions for digital infrastructure across the Gulf region.
