Paris, France - 03 February 2026 - European data center operator nLighten has completed the acquisition of a data center in Émerainville, near Paris, from French managed services provider oXya, significantly expanding its presence in one of Europe’s most strategic digital infrastructure markets. The deal reinforces nLighten’s commitment to supporting enterprise, cloud, and AI-ready workloads in the Paris region, one of the continent’s busiest hubs for connectivity and digital services.
The Émerainville facility, located roughly one kilometer from nLighten’s existing PAR1 site in the eastern Paris data center cluster, adds to the company’s portfolio of more than 30 data centers across seven European markets, including eight in France alone. Under the terms of the transaction, oXya will remain an anchor tenant at the site under a long-term master services agreement, ensuring service continuity for the managed services firm’s enterprise customers.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Émerainville facility into the nLighten family,” said Harro Beusker, co-founder and CEO of nLighten. “This acquisition strengthens our position in the Paris market, enhances operational synergies with adjacent facilities, and supports our strategy of offering resilient, scalable infrastructure for high-performance workloads.”
nLighten said the Émerainville site is capable of supporting high-density and AI-ready configurations, a growing requirement among enterprise and hyperscale users seeking lower latency and greater compute capacity close to end users. The expansion also creates flexibility for channel partners and retail clients looking to deploy critical infrastructure in an established European node.
Anwar Saliba, managing director of nLighten France, underscored the strategic value of the acquisition: “Strengthening our footprint in the Paris region aligns with our vision to build distributed, locally operated digital infrastructure across France that supports performance, continuity, data security, and digital sovereignty for our customers.”
For its part, oXya, a provider with deep expertise in SAP cloud solutions and managed services, said transferring ownership to nLighten will allow it to focus on core services while benefiting from enhanced infrastructure capabilities at the site. Christophe Bronner, group CFO at oXya, noted that the agreement ensures continuity and improved support for the firm’s existing customer base.
Industry analysts view the deal as part of ongoing consolidation in Europe’s digital infrastructure sector, as operators seek to meet rising demand for enterprise, cloud, and artificial intelligence workloads. Paris continues to be a magnet for investment due to its robust connectivity, established ecosystem of carriers and cloud providers, and proximity to major population and economic centers across the continent.
The Émerainville acquisition comes as nLighten accelerates strategic growth in edge and regional markets, where the combination of connectivity and compute density is increasingly critical for latency-sensitive applications and distributed cloud services.
