New Delhi, India, Oct 13, 2025- Nokia is sharpening its focus on India’s fast-growing enterprise, data centre, and hyperscaler markets, with plans to double its business in these segments over the next three years. The Finnish telecom major is reportedly finalising new deals across banking, utilities, and defence, and preparing to launch millimetre-wave (mmWave) Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) products in India within six months.
Senior company officials described India as “a pivotal growth market” for Nokia’s enterprise and cloud infrastructure business. Another source confirmed that the company is aligning its product roadmap to capitalise on the opportunities created by India’s accelerating investments in hyperscalers and private networks.
Nokia’s upcoming mmWave FWA launch is expected to strengthen its presence in high-capacity connectivity, offering a scalable alternative to fibre in urban and industrial zones. The move follows its recent efforts to expand optical and IP infrastructure partnerships across Indian metros, initiatives aimed at meeting the bandwidth needs of hyperscalers, OTTs, and enterprise campuses.
While the company has not issued an official press release, the strategy aligns with Nokia’s global shift towards data centre interconnects, optical backbones, and cloud networking solutions. In recent quarters, Nokia executives have repeatedly underscored hyperscalers as a “priority growth vertical,” reflecting its broader pivot beyond traditional telecom operators.
Analysts say India’s enterprise and data centre ecosystem provides Nokia a timely entry point as hyperscaler expansion fuels massive infrastructure demand. The mmWave FWA rollout, if executed on schedule, could accelerate last-mile connectivity for data-intensive industries and defence applications alike.
