Singapore, November 3, 2025- Smart Communications has launched a new AWS-powered data centre in Singapore, bringing its flagship Conversation Cloud™ platform closer to enterprise and government customers across Southeast Asia. The move is aimed at helping regulated industries meet data-sovereignty and compliance requirements while unlocking Smart’s full suite of intelligent customer-communication capabilities.
The Singapore facility is Smart’s first local deployment of its Conversation Cloud in ASEAN and is fully hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). By operating within Singapore’s borders, the platform can now support customers in banking, insurance, and the public sector who must adhere to strict data-residency regulations. The local presence also promises improved performance and reduced latency for businesses serving regional customers.
“Singapore sets the standard for digital engagement,” said Nick Smith, General Manager APAC at Smart Communications. “By hosting the Conversation Cloud locally, we’re empowering organisations to deliver the kind of intelligent, two-way digital conversations that meet these expectations, while ensuring data sovereignty, compliance, and world-class performance.”
Smart’s Conversation Cloud enables enterprises to create, personalise, and manage customer communications across digital and print channels. With the new Singapore data centre, clients can leverage the platform’s full AI-driven features, including real-time insights, automation, and auditable data handling without transferring information outside the country.
The company said the expansion aligns with Singapore’s national digitalisation initiatives and AWS’s continued investments in regional cloud infrastructure. Smart Communications’ partnership with AWS ensures scalability and high availability, providing enterprise customers with trusted, locally hosted solutions for critical communications.
Industry observers view the move as a timely step for Smart Communications, which has seen rising demand from financial institutions and government agencies in the region for secure, compliant communication technologies. The Singapore deployment positions Smart to serve a growing base of Asia-Pacific clients looking for cloud-based engagement platforms that meet both global standards and local regulations.
