London, United Kingdom - May 5, 2026 - Stellanor Datacenters has completed its acquisition of eight data center sites from Redcentric, marking a major step in its expansion strategy across the UK’s regional and edge infrastructure market.
The transaction adds a portfolio of facilities serving approximately 450 customers and significantly expands Stellanor’s footprint, reinforcing its position as a growing provider of colocation and AI-ready infrastructure. Backed by a fund managed by DWS Group, the company is focused on building a distributed network of data centers designed for enterprise and next-generation workloads.
With the deal now finalized, Stellanor operates a broader network of strategically located facilities across the UK, including key hubs in London, Reading, Cambridge, and West Yorkshire. The acquisition strengthens the company’s ability to deliver low-latency services closer to end users, an increasingly critical requirement as demand for AI inference, real-time analytics, and edge computing accelerates.
The newly integrated sites bring high-density colocation capabilities, strong security standards, and operations powered by 100% renewable energy, aligning with Stellanor’s focus on sustainable infrastructure development. The company emphasized that revitalizing existing facilities will help reduce environmental impact while supporting scalable digital growth.
“This is a transformative step in expanding our UK footprint,” said Aparna Narain, partner at DWS, highlighting the long-term value of building “resilient, scalable, and sustainable infrastructure” to support the country’s digital economy.
Stellanor CEO Steve Scott added that the company is focused on developing infrastructure “for the future, where data is generated, processed, and protected at the edge,” underscoring the importance of proximity-driven data center models.
The acquisition is part of a broader industry shift toward regional and edge data center deployments, as enterprises move away from centralized architectures to support latency-sensitive applications. Stellanor’s platform strategy centers on creating “a new generation of regional data centers” optimized for performance, accessibility, and sustainability.
For Redcentric, the divestment allows the company to refocus on its core managed services business while strengthening its financial position, following a deal valued at up to £127 million.
As AI adoption and digital services continue to expand, the completion of this acquisition positions Stellanor to scale its edge-focused infrastructure platform, supporting both enterprise demand and the growing need for distributed, high-performance data center capacity across the UK.
