AtlasEdge Sells Nine Data Centres to Templus to Sharpen Focus on Larger, Scalable Sites

London, United Kingdom - December 16, 2025 - AtlasEdge, the European data centre platform backed by Liberty Global and DigitalBridge, announced an agreement for Spanish operator Templus to acquire nine data centres across Europe, a transaction the companies say will allow AtlasEdge to concentrate on larger, higher-growth campuses while enabling Templus to broaden its regional reach.

Under the agreement, Templus will take ownership of facilities in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Zurich, Paris, Amsterdam, London, Leeds and Copenhagen. The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the first half of 2026.

AtlasEdge CEO Tesh Durvasula described the deal as reinforcing the company’s strategic direction,

This is an exciting step forward for AtlasEdge. It strengthens our ability to invest in the regions where we see exceptional long-term growth, while ensuring these sites continue under a focused operator well-placed to support their future.”

The divestment reflects a deliberate shift toward larger, highly scalable sites amid evolving enterprise and hyperscale demand. AtlasEdge highlighted ongoing expansions in core European markets, including a 42 MW development in Vienna and a 30 MW state-of-the-art campus in Lisbon, backed by more than EUR 500 million (~USD 586.50 million) in planned investment and EUR 253 million (USD 296.75 million) in green financing secured in October.

AtlasEdge’s Chief Strategy Officer, Henry Harris, said the deal was a milestone in portfolio optimisation.

This transaction marks an important milestone as we continue to refine our portfolio around customer demand, focusing on higher-density, scalable and strategically located facilities in the markets where we see the greatest potential.”

For Templus, which until now has concentrated largely on Spain’s regional markets, the acquisition represents its first major step into broader Europe. The company said the expanded footprint will see it manage a portfolio exceeding 60 MW of capacity and serve more than 750 customers across high-growth colocation hubs.

Templus CEO Nacho Velilla framed the acquisition as the start of a new phase,

With this acquisition, Templus begins its European internationalisation, with the firm objective of growing in all markets that are now integrated into Templus’ network of regional data centres in Europe.”

Templus’s Chief Commercial Officer, Felix de la Fuente, added that the newly acquired sites are “strategically located” with “excellent connectivity” and can support “sovereign and native infrastructure” crucial for regulatory compliance and AI-ready operations.

Operational control of the nine facilities will remain with AtlasEdge until the transaction’s completion, ensuring continuity of service for existing customers throughout the transition.
